I went specifically to see the Nine-Dragon Wall, and it did not disappoint. The glazed tiles are incredibly detailed, and the colors are still vivid after centuries. The rest of the park is nice but nothing groundbreaking compared to other imperial gardens. The signage in English could be better — I got lost trying to find the exit. Still, worth a visit for history buffs.
If you're an early bird like me, this is heaven. I came at 6:30 AM when the gates opened. The morning light hitting the lake, locals doing tai chi, the sound of birds — pure serenity. The park is huge and well-maintained. I even saw a guy practicing calligraphy with water on the ground. A five-star start to the day.
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. Maybe I came at the wrong time (midday on a holiday), but it was absolutely packed. You could barely move near the bridges. The park itself is pretty, but the crowds killed the vibe. Also, the entrance fee is not cheap for what you get — it's just a park with a pagoda. Wouldn't rush back.
Took the kids for a boat ride on the lake and they loved it. The rental process was smooth and the prices were reasonable. However, the queue for the paddle boats was a bit long on a Saturday afternoon. Still, the view of the pagoda from the water is magical. A solid family outing!
Absolutely stunning park! The White Pagoda against the blue sky is a postcard-perfect view. I went on a weekday morning and it was surprisingly peaceful. The willow trees by the lake, the ancient architecture — every corner feels like a painting. Definitely one of the best spots in Beijing for a relaxing stroll. Will come back in autumn!
Absolutely gorgeous in autumn! The golden leaves reflected in the water were breathtaking. We spent hours just walking around and taking photos. The historical buildings are well-preserved. One of the best parks I've visited in China – highly recommend!
Decent park but not as impressive as I imagined. The pagoda is nice from a distance but you can't go inside. The snack stalls are overpriced and the service was slow. It's okay for a quick visit, but I wouldn't plan a whole day here.
Loved the peaceful atmosphere near the willow trees! We rented a paddleboat and it was the highlight of our trip. The park is well-maintained and clean. Great escape from the city noise. Would recommend going early morning to avoid the tour groups.
Nice place for a stroll, but honestly it felt a bit overhyped. The entrance fee is cheap, but the park itself is just average – lots of old trees and a few pavilions. The lake was pretty though. I'd say come if you have extra time, but don't expect too much.
Beautiful park with stunning lake views! The boat ride was so relaxing, and the white pagoda looks magical in the sunset. Definitely worth spending a whole afternoon here. Only downside was the crowd on weekends, but still a must-visit in Beijing!
