Interesting station design—it's literally built into the building! The interior is clean and well-maintained. But I found the signs confusing; I walked around the block twice trying to find the entrance to the viewing platform. Also, there's no restroom near the observation area. Once I figured it out, the view was nice, but not spectacular. A solid four stars for the novelty, but they could really improve the visitor experience with better wayfinding.
As a cycling nut, I loved how this spot sits right on a hillside neighborhood. I biked over from the Jialing River path and parked near the station. The train piercing the tower is super cool from street level, but what really got me was the old stairways and local food stalls around the corner. Feels like a real slice of Chongqing life. Five stars for the whole vibe, not just the train. Bring your camera and your appetite!
Honestly, I was a bit let down. I saw all the viral photos and expected something more breathtaking. In reality, you stand across the street, wait a few minutes, and snap a photo of a train going through a hole in a building. The surrounding area isn't very pedestrian-friendly either—lots of traffic and not much else to do. If you're already nearby, sure, take a look. But I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Three stars because it's unique, but not worth the hype.
Cool concept, but be prepared for crowds. I went on a Saturday afternoon and the viewing platform was packed. Still, the monorail passing through the building is impressive. The station itself is clean and easy to navigate. Just wish there was a bit more signage in English. If you go early in the morning on a weekday, it's probably much better. Four stars—worth a quick stop if you're in the area.
Absolutely mind-blowing! Watching the monorail glide right through the middle of a residential building is something you have to see to believe. The best spot is from the elevated plaza across the street—you get the full photo op. I visited at sunset and the lighting made the whole scene magical. A truly one-of-a-kind experience in Chongqing, and it's free to just stand and watch. Highly recommend for anyone who loves urban oddities!
