Golden Pebble Beach National Geopark

Our family had an amazing day at Golden Pebble Beach! The kids loved collecting (and returning) unique pebbles and climbing on the big rocks. The water was calm and clear, perfect for wading. There are wooden walkways that make it stroller-friendly, and we found a nice shady spot under an overhang for a picnic. The geological museum near the entrance is small but free and very informative. Definitely a 5-star experience for nature lovers of all ages!

As a landscape photographer, this place is a dream. The light during golden hour hits the pebbles and makes them literally glow. I captured some of my best shots here—especially the rock formations near the eastern end. The geopark is clean, quiet on weekdays, and the staff were friendly. The only downside is that there's no shade, so bring sunscreen and plenty of water. Five stars, would go back in a heartbeat.
