What a steal! Free entry, cheap local food, and the pottery workshops let you try making your own piece for just a few bucks. The locals were super friendly and even showed me some traditional techniques. Definitely one of the best budget-friendly spots I've visited in China. Can't wait to come back!
Stayed until sunset and it was gorgeous! The lanterns lit up the alleys and the reflection in the little canal was stunning. Very romantic vibe. Only downside – public restrooms were hard to find and not very clean. Still, one of the most memorable evenings I've had in a while.
Honestly, it was a bit of a letdown. The town looks nice in pictures, but in reality it's overcrowded with tourists and too many identical snack stalls. The signage is confusing and some areas felt neglected. I don't regret going, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it again. Just average.
A charming little town with a lot of history. The old kilns and pottery workshops are fascinating, and you can really feel the heritage. My only minor complaint: some of the souvenir shops are a bit too pushy with sales. Still, if you're into authentic cultural experiences, this place is a gem. Would give 4.5 if I could.
Absolutely loved Chenlu Ancient Town! The cobblestone streets and old wooden houses are so well preserved. I came early in the morning and had the place almost to myself – the mist over the rooftops was magical. Spent hours just wandering and taking photos. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a quiet escape from the city.
