This place is a photographer's dream. I went on a weekday morning and practically had the whole rose garden to myself. The light was perfect for golden hour shots. The greenhouse complex is beautifully designed – the alpine house with its mini waterfalls is so peaceful. Metro + bus connection was easy from city center. Only minor complaint: some of the plant labels had faded to the point of being unreadable. Still, 5 stars for the sheer beauty and tranquility.
Perfect for a family outing! My kids (ages 4 and 7) absolutely loved the 'kid's discovery garden' with the little maze and the insect hotel. We brought a picnic blanket and had lunch near the lake – plenty of shaded benches. The wheelchair and stroller rental was cheap and easy. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the restroom near the herb garden was out of soap. Otherwise, a fantastic day!
Honestly, it was just okay for the price. 60 RMB entrance feels a bit steep when half the outdoor sections are just grass fields with a few scattered trees. The tropical greenhouse is impressive, but some of the indoor walkways had cracked tiles and looked a bit neglected. The signage could also be better – we got lost twice trying to find the bamboo garden. Not terrible, but not a must-visit.
A solid botanical garden overall. The layout is beautiful and well-maintained, but I was a bit disappointed by the crowded paths on a Sunday. The cactus greenhouse had some amazing specimens, though. The only downside: the café near the entrance ran out of sandwiches by 1 PM. Still a lovely day out, just come early if you want less crowd and more food options.
Absolutely stunning! The cherry blossom avenue was in full bloom when we visited, and the fragrance was intoxicating. The three greenhouses are a must-see – especially the tropical one with those giant water lilies. We spent almost 5 hours here and still didn't cover everything. Definitely worth the admission fee. Will come back in autumn for the maple leaves!
