Good value for a half-day escape from the city. The drive from Beijing took about 1.5 hours, and parking was easy. The glass walkway is the main draw, but I actually enjoyed the walking paths along the cliff more—less crowded and great views. My only complaint: the food at the snack stands was mediocre and overpriced. Bring your own snacks. Overall a nice experience, 4 stars.
We went with our two kids (ages 8 and 11) and they had the time of their lives! The glass skywalk was thrilling but safe, and the staff made sure everyone wore shoe covers. We loved the little caves and the suspension bridge. The mountain air was crisp and clean. Pack a picnic and enjoy the picnic tables near the top. This is our new favorite family hike—definitely coming back!
Honestly a bit disappointed after seeing all the hype online. The scenic area is okay but overpriced for what you get—150 RMB just for the entrance, and then extra for the glass bridge. The shuttle bus took forever and dropped us way too far from the main viewpoints. The trails are nice but nothing spectacular compared to other spots around Beijing. Wouldn't rush back.
Shilinxia is beautiful, no doubt. The cliffs and the glass bridge are impressive, but the crowds on a weekend made it less enjoyable. We had to queue for almost an hour just to get on the skywalk. The staff were polite though, and the scenic spots for photos are well-marked. If you go on a weekday, you'll probably love it more. I'd give it a solid 4.
Absolutely blown away by the views here! The glass skywalk was terrifying in the best way possible—felt like I was walking on air above the canyon. The hike up was steep but totally worth it, especially in autumn when the leaves change color. Only wish we had more time to explore the side trails. Definitely a 10/10 day trip from Beijing!
Went here with my family and had mixed feelings. The kids loved the glass bridge but the queues were way too long – waited almost an hour just for the cable car. Also, the signage was confusing and we almost missed the entrance. Not bad but not amazing either.
Truly a hidden gem! Spent half a day exploring the trails and the glass bottom bridge. The staff were super friendly and helpful when I asked about the best viewpoints. If you're into nature photography, bring a wide lens – you'll thank me later.
What an incredible spot for photos! The cliffs are just massive and the colors in autumn are unreal. I loved that it wasn't overly crowded when we visited on a weekday. Only downside? The food stalls at the top are overpriced and mediocre.
Pretty good overall but I was a bit disappointed with the maintenance. Some sections of the wooden walkway felt loose and creaky, which made me nervous. The scenery is stunning though, so if they fix the safety issues, it'd be a solid 4.
Honestly one of the most breathtaking views I've ever seen. The glass plank road is a real adrenaline rush, especially when the wind picks up. Took the cable car up and the whole valley just opens up in front of you. Definitely worth the drive from the city.
