Lovers' Road

Honestly, I wanted to love this place more. The photos are stunning, and okay, the outlook is nice, but the walk itself felt a bit overhyped. A lot of the railing is rusty, some steps are uneven, and there were plastic bottles and snack wrappers tucked in the bushes. Also the little souvenir stalls outside made it feel less romantic and more touristy than I expected. It's fine if you're passing by, but I wouldn't go out of your way.

Very pretty walk and well-maintained for the most part. We arrived around 11am on a Saturday and it was busier than expected, but still manageable. The views are lovely and there are enough benches to stop and rest. Only reason not 5 stars: the parking situation is a bit chaotic and there were no trash bins halfway, so we had to carry our wrappers the whole way. Not a huge deal, but worth knowing before you go.

I proposed here last weekend and I'll never forget it. We walked to the curve where the railing overlooks the bay — I'd read about it beforehand — and the wind was wild but the sky was insane. She said yes before I even finished. There's a small coffee cart at the entrance, so we had warm drinks after. The whole place is simple but that's exactly why it's beautiful. We stopped at the little painted bench halfway and just listened to the waves for twenty minutes. Even with a few other couples around, it felt private and peaceful. If you're near the area, don't skip it — especially just before sunset.

If you're looking for a romantic, off-the-radar spot, this is it. Lovers' Road turned out to be the highlight of our trip. We're not really hikers, but the path is gentle and well-kept. There are little carved hearts on the fence posts, a pretty bridge, and a bench with an amazing view of the lake at the end. Even in late autumn it was beautiful — bare trees and crisp air. We took so many photos. It's free, easy to reach, and genuinely beautiful. Can't recommend it enough.

It's free, so you can't complain too much, but with a little maintenance this place could be really special. I'd say go if you're nearby, but don't make a special trip.
